In short:
Files you upload are processed in server memory and sent straight back to your browser. They are never stored and never shared. The one exception is Word, Excel and PowerPoint conversion: the converter needs a real file, so your document sits in a private temporary folder for the few seconds the conversion takes and is deleted the moment it finishes. The processing server has no internet access.
Your results are held only in your browser tab and disappear when you clear them or close the tab.
If you sign up for updates, we keep your email address, when you signed up, and your IP address at the time (our email provider uses it to block spam sign-ups). We use your email only to tell you about ExtractlyPDF.
We send you a confirmation email first, and you're only added once you click the link in it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you through the contact form. We keep your address until you unsubscribe.
When you write to us, we receive your email address and message and use them only to reply. Messages are deleted from our systems after 90 days at the latest.
Like any website, our hosting provider handles technical data such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors. These logs are kept for a few days.
We don't set cookies, and we don't use analytics, ads or tracking of any kind. Our fonts are hosted on our own site, so loading a page doesn't contact third parties.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw your consent to emails at any time. Send requests through the contact form and we'll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
